Like so many SmallBoxers, Drew found his home here by way of music. Drew met Dan Fahrner (who would eventually become SmallBox's Marketing Director) on stage in Muncie, IN. Their bands played numerous shows together while Drew was a student.
After graduating from Ball State in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Drew went to work for Indianapolis Public Libraries. Dan and Drew continued to play music, and together they founded a booking agency, Transpanther. Drew officially joined the team in May 2012, after several months as a freelance marketer and writer.
As a Strategist, Drew plans, creates and refines marketing strategies and content for a variety of online channels. He loves helping clients and partners learn how to produce and promote content on their own. His writing is whip-sharp, and if we gave out awards for best puns, Drew would win hands down every time.
When not 'Boxing, Drew finds pleasure in running (he clocked nearly 1,000 miles last year!), cooking, brewing beer and reading. Drew obsesses over The New Yorker, modern fiction, and food and cultural literature. As a musician himself (he's in 3 bands!), he enjoys "krautrock" and experimental jazz from the '60s & '70s, modern psychedelia, and opining about the Rolling Stones, Yo La Tengo and electric Miles Davis.
