We have a couple of new faces at SmallBox we'll be introducing to you. First up - our new marketing intern Nick Klooz! He originally hails from Evansville, Indiana and has a degree in animation from Savannah College of Art and Design. He's new to Indianapolis, so please help us welcome him with a hearty hello on his brand new twitter page.
What bands do you listen to? Current favorite is a new discovery: indie rock band The Dig. Otherwise, I'll limit myself to five, or this response could turn into an essay. The National, Thrice, Brand New, Florence + the Machine, Damien Rice, Muse. Okay, that was six, but it gives a pretty good overview of my musical tastes.
What special design skillz do you bring to the team? Does knowing how to animate count? If not, it has at least fostered a few skillz - a keen eye for attention to detail, always trying to bring things to life - that usually carry over into my design.
What is your favorite typeface? Probably Myriad. And not just because it's used by Apple.
What are you excited to learn this summer? The ins and outs of web marketing. My knowledge of the technical skills (html/css, photoshop, design, etc) is already pretty solid - it's learning how to effectively use them in the web marketing world that I'm excited about!
What do you do in your spare time? If I'm not at work, there's a pretty good chance you'll find me at Starbucks. And if I'm not there you'll probably find me immersing myself in video games/films/shows/books, taking pictures, animating, freelancing. And occasionally I'll find myself at the gym. All while listening to music.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when reading each word?
accordian: collapsible panels
bicycle: Queen lyrics
drop shadows: useful when subtle!
Broad Ripple: SmallBox
LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
Anything else you want folks to know about you? I don't like cats, so try not to ask me what my favorite cat video is. That wasn't a very insightful last comment, was it?
That's okay Nick. We'll pick one for you. And it's definitely this one:
